As a direct result of the pressure from the Climategate fallout, the UK's Climate Research Unit has now promised to publish its temperature data in full. This may be a bit difficult however, if they were teling the truth when they earlier claimed that they had destroyed much of it.

Magnificent Christopher Booker has got it absolutely right in this article. Any attempt to rig an inquiry to give a whitewash will be obvious from the start and must be resisted. Only a fair and transparent process with a truly independent chairman will be acceptable.

No, I am not referring to even more frantic attempts by alarmists to push out the message of doom! This report tries by a very convoluted argument, to suggest that "climate change" (of the catastrophic type predicted by alarmists) will drive poor women to seek a living by selling their bodies. I don't know who is the more desparate, the poor women or the people making the argument.

This report shows the fact that land acts as a natural sink for CO2 which could account for most if not all of Australia's CO2 emissions. The fact that it is not accepted would seem to show that the ETS is more about raising taxes than in real accounting.

This article looks at the economics as well as the science and concludes that disaster awaits if a new treaty were to be signed at Copenhagen. Included in it is a short clip from a recent speech by Lord Monckton which has been seen by over 3 million people over the past few weeks.

Yes this article by none other than arch alarmist, George Monbiot, call for no less than the resignation of the head of the Climate Research Unit at Hadley UK, over the 'climategate' emails leak. Of course he then goes on to say that he still believes in the global warming scare and writes a long diatribe to support his thesis, but the extraordinary thing is his acknowledgement of just how seriously he regards the contents of the leaked emails, even though other alarmists have tried to shrug it off as nothing more than banter between scientists.
More on 'climategate' here.
This presentation is really excellent and reveals the empty thinking of politicians on the subject, and the lack of rigour applied.

Lord Monckton has called for the scientists whose leaked emails point to the destruction of data to avoid complying with a freedom of information request, to face a court of law in this article, though he admits it isn't likely to happen.
LORD LAWSON CALLS FOR AN INQUIRY INTO 'CLIMATEGATE' LEAKS AND SETS UP A NEW CLIMATE POLICY THINK TANK
This report explains the details. See my post of two days ago for details of the leaked emails. To hear Lord Lawson on the BBC Today programme, click here.
This Times article explains about the new Climate Policy Foundation.
This episode is starting to grow into the main stream media and will prove very embarrassing to the alarmists.
The proceedings of our parliament receive little or no coverage in the media, particularly when a member makes a speech contrary to the prevailing orthodoxy on global warming. So by way of a change I highlight the excellent contribution from Peter Lilley MP which can be read here. (to read his speech scroll down to page 1048, about half way down 2.55pm.)

This Telegraph report tells the story. Logically, this is where the government is heading if they carry on with this nonsense, and I doubt anything will change as the Conservatives are just as signed up to it as the Labour government. So whichever way we vote there is no other policy on offer.

A large amount of emails and other sensitive data from the Hadley Climate Centre in East Anglia UK, was released onto the internet yesterday. This article gives some details. Some of the exchanges released show the thinking of our top climate scientists seems to be far from the objective process that is required for impartial evidence-gathering and scientific research.
**UPDATE - For those with the time and inclination to delve deeper Here is the site to go digging!
More Here and here.

This Times report gives details of the new tax to be levied on all UK electricity bills to pay for carbon capture to be fitted to coal-fired power stations. How long will the public accept these increases before they realise that the climate is not controlled by CO2 emissions, or how long can the government maintain the fiction that it does?

This paper explains that claims of large numbers of extinctions are based on incomplete understanding and may be greatly exaggerated (like so many things in the global warming debate).
Wednesday, 18 November 2009
This report explains the myth of "4000 scientists agree that man is causing catstrophic warming". The report carefully explains how the true number of scientists is under 50. This is far from the broad consensus claimed by the alarmists. Global warming is a crisis built on a web of deceit to support some very weak scientific evidence.

Christopher Booker sums up our problems brilliantly in his weekly column in the Sunday Telegraph. Thank goodness he is still able to do so. It is surprising that his bosses have not been lent on to get rid of him. If so how long before they give in?

This is the claim made by Lord Monckton in an interview on Ausralian radio. His claim is based on a draft treaty which was uncovered on the UN website and passed on to him. Monckton has made a speech in the USA and in Canada warning people of the danger of governments signing such a binding treaty. This interview is very clear and well worth listening to.
To access a copy of the draft Copenhagen Treaty click here, though I should warn you it is 180 pages of legal jargon, full of acronyms and utterly politically correct gobbledegook.

This report into the german renewable energy system, which is one of the most advanced in the world and held up as an example to other nations, is extremely critical. It highlights the fact that it is extremely costly and it does not actually save any emissions over all. An extraordinary result.

Here are the details. Are the climate alarmists becoming paranoid?
Here's an example of where carbon trading can lead to. If it wasn't so serious it would be funny in a farcical way; and yet the UN and many governments are seriously considering extending this sort of scheme on to a world scale. Luckily it is likely that some nations will throw a spanner in the works and no agreement will be reached, other than a huge fudge. Even a fudge will probably be nassively expensive, create a huge bureaucracy and be subject to enormous fraud, which we will all be paying for.

Here's the poll findings. This is one of several polls around the world that show the disconnect between politicians rhetoric and their people. Despite the ratcheting up of pro AGW propaganda the public remain implaccably unconvinced. Could it be due to a lack of real evidence?

This report explains the claimed shortcomings in the government's recently released figures. There is bound to be room for massive errors on this sort of calculation which is practically impossible to verify.
