This article in the Guardian says that the government's green ISA scheme is now unlikely to go ahead which is a serious blow to its green policies.

This article weighs up the issues to be debated by the UK MPs in the Science and Energy Select Committee. Will they try to slow down the growth of this game changing new technology. I doubt if the rest of the world will wait for us if we do.

The Australian PM, Julia Gillard, was accused of double-crossing voters, when she announced the introduction of a new carbon tax see this link to read the Australian press. With a wafer thin majority and relying on independents, she faces a tough task.

This article tells the story of the Virginia Attorney General and his battle to get at the truth of research by Professor Michael Mann of the hockey-stick notoriety. He may pay a heavy price for his efforts, but at least he has put his job on the line to try and uncover the truth.

This article in today's Daily Mail is interesting for the language that is used, as much as the content. It tells us that it is now mainstream to criticise the government's policy on global warming. This has been going on for some timem but it is gaining momentum. How much longer before we get open criticism on television, and by politicians who are ahead of the game. When the power cuts begin, those who have supported this will be as popular as the tyrants in north Africa!

Alarmists don't want us to hear any research that says that there are benefits of a slight warming of the planet, but here is an example of one benefit. When the IPCC only publishes the negative stories it reinforces the point that there is an agenda rather than honest disclosure of the facts.

Here's the story via an alarmist blog. You can see from their anger that this is hurting them. My fear is that the UK might be daft enough to make up the shortfall. Either that or the EU, who in turn will send the begging bowl round to us anyway. If the USA are not playing the game then we might as well all pack up now since none of the objectives in terms of CO2 reductions can be met. All we will be doing is posturing, convincing ourselves how virtuous we are, while levels of CO2 just go on rising. How pathetic is that?

This post on WUWT gives us details of a new well-funded website set up specifically to counter any climate stories that contradict the "consensus". The age of Big Brother is well and truly upon us. In spite of all this propaganda many of the public remain sceptical.

This article explains the shocking series of lies which brought an end to popular TV presenter Johnny Ball's career. You can pay a very high price for speaking out against the so-called "consensus" on global warming.

This article gives the details of a new group that are attempting to obtain an average surface temperature of the Earth. With all the attempts to manipulate the data it would be good to see a new transparent data series, but I remain sceptical whether anyone will produce such a result.

This article shows the massive impact that the new technique of extracting natural gas from shale rock will have. It promises to end the dependance of the West on Russian gas and Middle Eastern oil within a few years. It must surely also mean the end of any hope of a reduction in carbon emissions.

This article is the evidence that he really did say that, and it is not April 1st! There is no mention in the article of by what yardstick this drop is compared. It maybe that prices will reach such a peak by 2019 that he could be proved right - who knows. Of course it's more than likely he won't be in office to take the blame.

This report explains how the discovery of claims for solar power produced after midnight caused the authorities to look more closely. This is hardly surprising given the offer of easy money made by the European governments.

This article explains how the UK Science Select Committee over-ruled the one member with a scientific background and decided to accept the whitewash of the inquiries, rather than pursue a more rigorous approach. Our feeble MPs toe the line.

This article by Ambrose Evans-Pritchard seems to suggest so, in which case the argument for ditching the "climate change agenda" is getting rather urgent. There seems little point in indulging in vain attempts to save the planet in 100 years if we have to endure mass hunger through high food prices today.

Here is an excellent article from the Mail on Sunday which looks into how the rare earth metals are produced in China to make the magnets for our wind turbines. It also includes up to date figures on the quantity of electricity being produced from wind turbines and at what cost. Very thought provoking.
