This article tells us that the so-called smart appliance is a step nearer. Slowly we seem to be heading for an electricity system in which our usage is to be closely monitored. Have those advocating this system thought about how it could be sabotaged by clever computer experts. What if the public don't purchase new appliances, or even by-pass the smart chip?
