IS NATURAL GAS ALWAYS A FOSSIL FUEL?

Here is a post by Matt Ridley which examines a hypothesis that some natural gas is made from other things than organic matter. Matt discusses the importance of this in the article. Yet another thing that we aren't certain of in the debate over which energy is truly renewable.

An expedition to Saturn's moon Titan would clear up everything. Titan is either the largest bone yard in our solar system or hydro carbons are the result of naturally occurring processes. Really, which makes the most sense ?
