The following link - http://iceagenow.com/Underwater_volcanoes_Bake_Sediments-Add_to_Warming.htm looks at heat from beneath the earth's crust which the IPCC has chosen to ignore when drawing up a global energy budget. See page 10 of this pdf http://www.cgd.ucar.edu/cas/papers/KiehlTrenbBAMS97.pdf for the diagram.

Apocalyptic reports recently in the press have suggested that GW is causing a melting of the permafrost in Siberia leading to vast outgassing of methane causing a runaway warming; however this article may reassure you that there is no need to panic. Just relax and enjoy the festive season.

In fact 2011 is not in the top 10, according to this GWPF report. The warming just isn't happening and the warmists just cannot explain it, except by saying that they never said every year would be warmer than the last one - but they never said we would not see any warming trend for 12 years either.

This essay by Matt Ridley gives the arguments why biofuels are not the answer to cutting CO2 emissions. As he explains far from solving the perceived problem of global warming they do not do so and actually cause several other problems such as drive up food prices as well as actually increasing CO2 in the short term.

That is according to this paper - http://omsriram.com/Greenhouse_Gases_Cool_Earth.pdf which refutes the very basis of greenhouse theory. While I go along with much of what they say, such as that water in the form of clouds can have a cooling effect; I did not see in the paper any mention of the fact that both CO2 and H20 absorb infra-red radiation, which even most sceptic acientists accept does lead to increased heat retention. However this is still an interesting contribution with many truths in it.

This article by Christopher Monckton explains his reason for preparing a report for the police based on the revelations in the leaked emails. I doubt whether the police will be keen to act, but on the basis that if you don't ask you don't get, it is surely worth having a go.

The problem with the IPCC forecasting sea level rise is that other organisations, such as those tasked with coastal protection, use these forecasts to make long term plans. We are now finding that these IPCC predictions are proving to be exaggerated. See this article to see how reality trumps computer models yet again.

This report makes interesting, if rather disturbing, reading. What it says is that there is a lot more going no behind the scenes than is reported in the media, and that governments would like their voters to know. It is also going to cost us all a great deal of money.

This report from the excellent Canadian journalist Donna Laframboise, who I had the pleasure to meet at a one-day conference at Westminster on her recent visit to Britain. She has uncovered the collaboration going on between our climate scientists and our activist organisations and politicians - all in it together.

This article in the Daily Mail sets out the evidence, which all those who see the BBC's climate change output are well aware of. It came to a head with the recent showing of the last episode of David Attenborough's accalimed series Frozen Planet. Sadly, those who saw it will have seen a one-sided look at the evidence for a catastrophic warming of the planet with no mention of any evidence that contradicts the so-called 'consensus' narrative. One small example was the melting of sea ice where no reference was made to the fact that this will have no effect on sea level - something that many viewers will be unaware. No mention either of the fact that the Antarctic has been gaining ice in recent years, leaving the total mass of ice on our planet more or less unchanged. No mention of the fact that the Arctic has in the recent past had several periods when it has warmed and lost ice, only to revert to regain it again. I fear Mr Attenborough has bowed to pressure and resorted to propaganda instead of balance. What a shame.

Many people are unaware of the very small proportion of CO2 emitted by mankind. To prove that this is a well-founded claim here is the proof from none other than the IPCC itself ( I know, they can't be trusted!)but if you are trying to convince a warmist it should be good enough. When you look at the diagram in the link you can add up all the amounts in the 'up' arrows (all amounts are in gigatons), the total is 215. The fact that the UK emits less than 2% of this 3% and you are getting to some pretty small amounts. As Michael Cain might have said "not a lot of people know that."

Lord Lawson has replied to the assertion being made by David Attenborough that human CO2 emissions are causing the Arctic ice to melt. He could have added to his remarks the important point that melting of the Arctic ice is not unusual. See this article for example.
