MORE LIES DECEIT AND PROPAGANDA FROM ALARMISTS

This article in the Mail on Sunday reveals how a new report has been distorted by a press release from its main author in order to try to show that the world is continuing to warm. The reality is that for the past 12 years no warming has been evident from the record. This was made clear by the report's second author. This is yet another example of an alarmist hype in a desparate attempt to keep the alarmist bandwaggon on the tracks.

ONE SMALL STEP

This may be the only time any council has, at a full council meeting debated the government's climate change policy and, if so, it was an interesting result. At its meeting on Monday 24 October, the New Forest District Council passed the following motion by the overwhelming majority of 47 votes to 5. I have issued a press release which is on the GWPF website.

I am sure that this result reflects the views of ordinary people all over the country who are acquainted with the facts. The vote was completely free of any whip, though interestingly the 5 who opposed the motion were all Liberal Democrats.

The motion had already been debated by the Environment Overview and Scrutiny Panel at its September meeting. See here for the report and a full copy of the motion.

PEAK OIL BRIGADE ARE WRONG AGAIN

This article by Dieter Helm in the Guardian is well worth a read. He is saying that politicians have got it wrong by assuming that oil and gas prices are on an upward spiral, and therefore renewables will soon appear to be a cheap option. In fact the opposite could be the case and oil and gas prices may well fall, leaving the UK (and the West in general) stuck with unnecesary high energy costs.

RETURN OF MINI ICE AGE?

This article explains that scientists are now predicting the prospect of up to thirty years of cold winters. Being a sceptic I tend to take any weather forecast with a large pinch of salt, but even if it has any truth in it, it should spell the end for the idea that CO2 controls our climate. For a more in-depth look at this this article from the excellent GWPF is worth reading.

CHINESE EMISSIONS PER PERSON TO PASS UK BY NEXT YEAR

This almost unbelievable headline refers to this article in the Telegraph. Clearly it removes any argument for treating China any differently to the West when it comes to CO2 emission reduction targets.

EPA HITS TROUBLE

The USA's Environment Protection Agency (EPA) has run into trouble from the Inspector General(IG) details here. The problem in a nutshell, appears to be that the EPA did not subject the report into the danger of CO2 to sufficient peer review. This si going to delay their ability to issue orders to control CO2 by as much as a year. After that, who knows? Yet more scenes are added to the farce.

IPCC IN BED WITH CLIMATE ACTIVIST SCIENTISTS

The climate sceptics have often been told that sceptic scientists cannot be trusted because they have accepted money from "big oil" companies or similar. Just look at this report which shows the large number of scientists writing the IPCC reports, while at the same time working for major climate change lobby groups such as WWF and Friends of the Earth. How will we be able to take their reports seriously?
