When you read about this latest wind farm scandal it shows just how wasteful the rush to achieve net zero actually is. Not only that, but the policy is not even achieving net zero. It is merely posturing and pretending to be doing something, when in practice it is destroying natural peat bog and costing a lot of money to produce a very low yield of electricity.
Rather than producing electricity at a load factor of around 50 per cent, as forecast and promoted by owner SSE Renewables, the Viking Energy wind farm has so far been churning out electricity at a rate of just 17 per cent of what is potentially possible.
The 103-turbine project became operational in summer last year.

The United States Historical Climatology Network (USHCN) was established to provide an “accurate, unbiased, up-to-date historical climate record for the United States,” NOAA states, and it has recorded more than 100 years of daily maximum and minimum temperatures from stations across the United States.
The problem, say experts, is that an increasing number of USHCN’s stations don’t exist anymore.
“They are physically gone—but still report data—like magic,” said Lt. Col. John Shewchuk, a certified consulting meteorologist.
“NOAA fabricates temperature data for more than 30 percent of the 1,218 USHCN reporting stations that no longer exist.”

There have been a number of models made which, the makers claim, show that it is accelerating, but there is one big problem for them - none of the world's long-running tide gauge data show an acceleration. This fact is ignored by the mainstream media and hence the public.

We already have the highest electricity prices in the developed world and UK and European gas prices are many times higher than those in the US and Canada. We simply cannot afford any more whacky projects that push up energy costs even more. In fact we should be going in the opposite direction and declaring an energy emergency to bring energy costs down.
