PRESIDENT OF ROYAL SOCIETY ASKS FOR F.O.I. RULES TO BE CHANGED

This piece looks at Sir Paul Nurse's article in the Guardian in which he protests about the 'misuse' of freedom of information requests. In the Bishop Hill link his accusations are shown to be hollow, and as the article goes on to say - he seems to be against making scientific data available so that it can be replicated. Not a very scientific approach for the head of a scientific body.

THE REAL 'CLIMATE CHANGE' AGENDA

This website draws together dozens of organisations world wide including Friends of the Earth and Christian Aid. It seeks to bring about the end of capitalism and create a new world order. While I doubt they are anywhere near to achieving these goals it is clear that they are now the views of what are regarded as mainstream organisations, supported by many world leaders (at least in public). In fact there are hardly any leaders who would publicly speak against them. All those who are interested in the future of world politics should read this site as it is quite likely to be the long term future for us.

This essay by ~Professor William Happer of Princetown University looks at the current state of the global warming controversy. This is a real tour de forse by an eminent professor and is well worth reading and passing on to others.

This article in the Mail deals mainly with UK Climate Minister, Chris Huhne being accused by his ex-wife of getting her to take his speeding points; but at the end of it is a piece about the disastrous UK climate policies in which the author points out that scientists are now having serious doubts about the cause of the climate warming. It seems that the cracks in the so-called 'consensus' are getting wider.

UK GOVERNMENT COMMIT TO 16 BILLION A YEAR ON DECARB.

This article< explains the detail. The paragraph below gives a flavour, and the costs which we will all be paying - far greater than the cuts the government have inflicted on us so far. When will we see the protest marches?

"The committee's report says the new carbon deal will require that heat pumps will have had to be installed in 2.6m homes by 2025. It also says that by the same date 31% of new cars, and 14% of those on the road overall, will be electric. Experts say a total of £16bn of investment will be needed every year to meet the commitment. Some of this money will be raised through increases in electricity prices"

I wish I could report that the government were actually going to save money on climate alarmist propaganda, but I fear it is only cutting funding to one group to spend more elsewhere. AUSSIE VOTERS REJECT CARBON TAX BY 2 TO 1

This report looks at how unpopular this proposed tax has become in the latest opinion polls. The Australian public have now had time to look at the arguments and they don't like the look of it. PM Gillard only got re-elected (by the narrowest margin) by lying when she denied that she would impose such a tax. She would be very foolish to go ahead now and risk the voters anger at the next election.

WIND FARMS PAID £900,000 NOT TO PRODUCE ELECTRICITY

We always knew that it would be difficult to balance the grid with increasing amounts of wind turbines giving erratic amounts, but this report tells us that over one night in April, due to strong winds in Scotland, the grid paid out a total of £900,000 to six wind farms not to produce electricity. No wonder our electricity bill are going up so much. Although the report is on the BBC website, I do not recall it being on the main news bulletins. I wonder why?

This report explains how government red tape on carbon reduction laws is putting onerous new burdens on UK businesses. No doubt this will grow as the tentacles spread down from larger firms to smaller ones, all required to file detailed reports of their carbon emissions. It is this sort of thing that will inevitably lead to higher costs for UK businesses which will be passed on to the consumer in higher prices. More firms will either go out of business or re-locate abroard in less onerous countries. All this will cost jobs, rise prices, and all for nothing, as China and India power away at our expense.

When we hear that oil is running out and so, regardless of the valdity of the global warming theory, we must find new sources of energy,just look at this report, and this one One has to ask - just what is the point of leaving such massive reserves in the ground when utilising them would go along way to wiping out the country's national debt.

If you thought that calculating a nation's CO2 emissions was a difficult task, just read this newsletter from the Scientific Alliance is a real eye-opener. If the question of our 'hidden CO2' was to be taken seriously then we will need to impoverish ourselves to a far greater degree than even our government would get away with. The whole ridiculous charade of climate alarm prevention would fall apart like a house of cards. As the newsletter says, we would also be impoverishing the emerging nations who currently supply our imports.

This letter signed by some of the leading experts on electricity generation should give our politicians cause for concern. If it is ignored, then the public will pour scorn on them when the lights go out.
