LOONEY'S IN CHARGE

The headline refers to the new chief executive of BP, Bernard Looney, though many would say it could be referring to any number of our leaders!

Bernard seems to be living up to his name, as in February, within a few days of taking office he announced that BP would become zero carbon by 2050. Presumably he intends to offset a lot of his companies product by purchasing a lot of forests!

According to the Daily Mail writer, Maggie Pagano, he has now announced 10000 job cuts and is writing off up to $17.5 billion of his company's assets including oil fields which have yet to be analysed. I think he must have lost sense of what his company does, or been reading too much green propaganda.
