Here is the climate story that is not heard on our news bulletins.
Report: US Set Twice as Many Heat Records as Cold in Last 20 Years
But since 1999, 87 percent of the weather stations had more hot records than cold. And, 42 stations reported having at least five hot records for every cold one since 1999. At 11 stations, the hot-to-cold ratio during the period was 10-to-1 or greater.
The hot weather around the world was dangerous. If it bleeds, it leads in the newspapers. These cold records are observed and used for the overall view of the transition to a warmer world. The more dangerous part of AGW is all the destruction of the world warming to the life on earth.
The idea that cold records are ignored is false. Part of confirming AGW is that hot records outnumber cold records'

My point was that cold weather was ignored by the news media, whereas any heat related weather was given massive coverage.
