WERE BANKERS TRYING TO RULE THE WORLD?

 According to this article they were and it is only due to the Republican controlled states using the courts to enforce anti-trust laws that has stopped them this time. It's a complex web, but just plausible that these corporate giants would work together, like a giant example of group-think. Of course they believed they were doing good by saving the planet.

CLIMATE AND NATURE BILL DETAILS

The back bench bill to cut CO2 emissions much faster than the government is currently doing is causing considerable concern and the implications of it for the everyday lives of the people are laid out in this article by Paul Homewood:

Very few voters knowingly voted for this, and even this Labour government would not implement it, as it would destroy the economy and with it the chance of any of them being re-elected.

GERMANY MAY STRUGGLE TO KEEP THE LIGHTS ON AS RENEWABLES INCREASE

Germany is aiming to cover 80 percent of its electricity demand with renewables by 2030, and have a largely decarbonised power supply by 2035. To make sure the lights stay on at all times as the share of intermittent renewable energy increases and coal is phased out, the Germans plan to build hydrogen-ready gas power plants, but these may not materialise fully as investment risks are too high, warned energy associations BDEW and VKU. Read more here:

Note to UK government - Even Germany is not planning to decarbonise its electricity supply completely by 2030, but they are struggling to achieve 80% by 2035.
