THE WIND OF CHANGE IS BLOWING THROUGH THE USA

President Trump's administration is really pulling every string to stop the previous government's climate change policies. The link below refers to how they are trying to stop wind farms being built by using the courts to overturn contracts, and apparently succeeding. This must send a warning to all those companies that have entered into any agreements that they will now face an expensive battle. The government is also changing the language used by various bodies under its control, such as preventing certain words from being written into their documents. It is quite extraordinary, like banning a religion. but that is what climate change has become.

TRUMP CHANGING WORLD VIEW ON CLIMATE

The speech that President Trump gave to the UN sets out very clearly the direction in which the USA will be moving, but there are still Democrat states like California that don't want to follow, however they are still having to change as they see that their old policies of restricting the extraction and use of fossil fuels is making them look foolish and impoverishing their people. See the links below:

DEMOCRACY IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH NET ZERO

This article chimes with my own thoughts, which are that no democracy could achieve net zero, as the public would simply vote out any government that inflicted the loss of freedom required to achieve it. Here in the UK we have had a unified approach by both the main parties, but now that we have made all the easier decisions we are coming to the tough ones where it is going to hurt the public in terms of restrictions and even higher costs. These policies will not get any party elected.

The greenlash is here: Britain cannot afford Net Zero and democracy at the same time

WHY 1976 WAS THE HOTTEST SUMMER EVER

The Met Office claim that the summer of 2025 was hotter than 1976. Below Ray Sanders explains why they are wrong in a very convincing way. Despite this, there is never any debate on mainstream media. Instead they simply accept what the Met Office claim at face value without attempting to challenge them in any way.

PRESIDENT TRUMP'S SPEECH TO THE UN

Here is a link which has the entire speech on it: Trump to UN: ‘Climate change is the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world’ « JoNova

It is an incredible speech which has received very little coverage in the mainstream media, considering the content. Now, I am prepared to say that the President does exaggerate his own successes and boasts about them too much, but considering that his teleprompter was switched off and he had to ad lib it was a remarkable effort.

His remarks about climate change were, to a large extent, spot on, though he could have said that there is some truth in the fact that humans have probably caused some warming. Where he was correct was when he said that the policies to switch to renewables and stop using fossil fuels was causing great harm to our economies and exporting our jobs.

No other leader would dare to speak to the UN in the way he did.

BRITAIN'S INDUSTRIAL DISASTER

Former Conservative MP and government minister, Sir John Redwood has written an important piece, linked below, in which he looks at the reasons behind our industrial decline. The government's net zero policies are the crucial factors. Industrial decline is leading to economic decline, and in a vicious circle this leads to higher taxes which makes it even worse. We desperately need a new approach starting with the removal of the Climate Change Act and all that flows from it.

GOOGLE CLOSE DOWN FREE SPEECH

I previously discovered that this blog has been de-platformed by Google, but I have since found that it is not only my blog but a number of other highly distinguished blogs that have suffered the same fate.

such as:

go to Tallbloke'stalkshop
Warning: The blog "Tallbloke's Talkshop" is known for publishing climate
change misinformation and does not reflect the scientific consensus on
climate science
. For accurate information, it is recommended to consult
established scientific resources instead of relying on this site.
"Tallbloke's Talkshop" is a blog that promotes climate skepticism, frequently
publishing misleading content that questions mainstream climate science.
The site has been publicly criticized for spreading false information, such as
the baseless claim that the UK Met Office fabricates climate data. [ it is Google
that is making baseless claims, as the evidence on Tallbloke'stalkshop clearly
shows they are fabricating temperature data for non-existent weather stations]
go to Notalotofpeopleknowthat
Warning: The blog "Not a Lot of People Know That" (notalotofpeopleknowthat.wordpress.com) is run by Paul Homewood and is
known for promoting climate change misinformation. Its content does not
align with the scientific consensus on climate science and should not be
considered a reliable source.
The blog's content frequently contradicts the evidence-based findings of
established scientific bodies like the UK Met Office and the Intergovernmental
Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). It has a history of publishing false or
misleading claims about climate data and climate change impacts, as
highlighted by reports from reputable sources.

THIS WEBSITE DE-PLATFORMED BY GOOGLE

Just for fun I asked Google to go to this website Climatescience.blogspot.com. Here is

what it came up with:

go to climatescience.blogspot.com
"Based on search results and public knowledge,
climatescience.blogspot.com
was a climate-skeptic blog on the Blogspot platform. While its content is still
observable via feed services, it is no longer actively maintained or widely
referenced. The blog was known for publishing content that cast doubt on the
scientific consensus regarding climate change.
It is distinct from the authoritative and long-running climate science blog
RealClimate, which is run by working climate scientists and is located at realclimate.org.
Please note: The search results indicate that the climatescience.blogspot.com
domain is associated with a "scare story" viewpoint on global warming. For
current, accurate, and scientifically-verified information, it is recommended to
visit blogs and websites that adhere to the scientific consensus. "
So it says this site is "no longer actively maintained"! It is a wonder that anyone
comes here at all, and yet this month I have had over 180,000 visitors!

AUSSIE CO2 EMISSIONS STALLING

Nearly all the “climate action” we’ve paid for in Australia has only reduced emissions by 3.9% in 20 years

Anthony Albanese is proud that Australia has reduced emissions by 28% since 2005, but doesn’t tell Australians that 24% of that was in land use, mostly because we let scrub and forests grow back. And now he’s talking of reducing emissions by 62% by 2035?

UK' s LOOMING ENERGY CRISIS EXPLAINED

A good new video from Paul Burgess explains what is becoming increasingly alarming. It is something the UK government will do all it can to avoid, but the policy of net zero is making it ever more likely, as we move ever closer to the cliff edge. We are taking bigger risks, like a gambler trying to recover his losses. There is bound to come a time when we face a cold spell with a wind drought and the inter-connector not giving us enough and hey presto!

DESPERATE MEASURES TO SAVE THE UK FROM BLACK-OUTS

This article explains the dire straits that we are in over the next few years as our aging power plants have to retire or undergo a massive refit. Two options are proposed as possible solutions, one is coal and the other is a sort of modified jet engine. Read the short article for more details.

NEW CLIMATE SURVEY BY THE TIMES NEWSPAPER

British people are fed up with paying more to “combat climate change” « JoNova

The number of Britons who think the dangers of global warming have been exaggerated has jumped by more than 50 per cent in the past four years, new research for The Times reveals today.
One in four voters now believe that concerns over climate change are not as real as scientists have said, amid growing public concern at the cost of the government’s net zero policies.

NET ZERO, DEBT AND DECLINE OF THE EU AND UK

I found this interesting essay on the Clintel website. Here is one section of it:

The Cult of Net Zero

After 50 years of failed predictions of climate apocalypse, the zealous pursuit of Net Zero climate policies at any cost in the EU and UK to ‘save the planet’ is a peculiar form of economic suicide. The postwar European miracle was built on cheap and abundant fossil fuels, nuclear power and pragmatic economic management. That foundation is now being dismantled in the name of fighting climate change.

Subsidies for wind and solar have reached astronomical levels, yet these intermittent sources cannot provide the baseload power that industry and households require. Nuclear energy, once a symbol of modernity, has been hobbled by regulation or phased out entirely. Natural gas supplies to supplement dwindling North Sea production were once reliably imported from Russia. They were cut off by sanctions and geopolitical hubris although the EU remains the largest importer of Russian LNG. The sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipeline signalled the end of cheap Russian natural gas that helped lay the foundations of Europe’s post-war economic prosperity.

The result is predictable: deindustrialisation, skyrocketing electricity bills and declining living standards. Germany’s vaunted Mittelstand firms — medium-sized manufacturers that long formed the backbone of its export model — are relocating abroad. Energy-intensive industries in France and Great Britain are shuttering. Households, already squeezed by inflation and stagnating wages, are asked to shoulder the costs of heat pump mandates, bans on gasoline and diesel cars and ever-higher energy taxes.

This is not an energy transition. It is an energy regression — an attempt to reconfigure advanced industrial societies around technologies that cannot deliver the reliability and affordability required for economic growth. The climate policies imposed by Brussels, Berlin, Paris and London amount to a vast system of central planning and prescriptive industrial policy. History – and Friedrich von Hayek in his book The Road to Serfdom – have shown that central planning, ‘green’ or otherwise, leads not to progress but to shortages, inefficiencies and decline.

THE CASE AGAINST NET ZERO IS UNDENIABLE

In an article in today's Daily Mail, Dominic Lawson (son Of Nigel, the late founder of the Global Warming Policy Foundation and Net Zero Watch) has written a powerful article showing how political leaders around the world are turning their backs on Net Zero policies, leaving the UK Labour Party stuck in a situation where their industrial base is collapsing leaving their economic policy in a hopeless mess.

STORING CO2 UNDERGROUND IS NOT EFFECTIVE SAYS NEW STUDY

For the first time, a study maps safe areas that can practically be used for underground carbon storage, and estimates that using them all would only cut warming by 0.7°C, says Phys.org.

The result is almost ten times lower than previous estimates of around 6°C, which considered the total global potential for geological storage, including in risky zones, where storing carbon could trigger earthquakes and contaminate drinking water supplies.

Safe underground carbon storage would have much less effect than claimed, analysis finds | Tallbloke's Talkshop

LABOUR STICK TO GREEN POLICY, DESPITE JOB LOSSES

Company behind Lindsey Oil Refinery collapsed owing estimated £1.6bn including huge sum to tax office

The author is a retired trade unionist. He prefers to remain anonymous.

I attended a Unite demo against the Lindsey Oil refinery [closure] a few days ago. It was well attended, and we listened to General Secretary Sharon Graham, who explained that she and some of the workers will meet ministers next week. She said that 15 bids has been received for the refinery. Presumably we will find out more next week.

ANTARCTIC ICE SHEET STARTING TO GAIN ICE

The GRACE satellite, measures the total surface mass — with all the gains as well as the losses —  and suggests after 20 years of decline the steadily falling trend has broken.

What matters most in this story is that the climate models didn’t see this change coming, and therefore are missing at least one big crucial factor, or maybe ten. Who knows?

Antarctica was supposed to suffer polar amplification, and heat twice as fast as the rest of the world. What happened to that?

IS THE WORLD FOLLOWING EUROPE'S GREEN LEAD?

Fossil fuels—coal, oil, and natural gas—accounted for 87% of the world’s energy in 2024, while renewables’ share remains in single digits despite more than $5 trillion being spent on wind and solar in the last 20 years.

Last year, global energy supply increased by nearly 2%, driven by rising demand for all types of energy. Accounting for 65% of the increase was the Asia-Pacific region, which represents 47% of the world’s energy consumption and where 83% of the coal is burned and reigns as king of fuel sources. Together, China, India, and Indonesia produced 71% of the globe’s coal.

NEW SEA LEVEL PAPER SHOWS NO ACCELERATION IN RISE WORLD WIDE

An analysis of more than 200 tide stations around the world shows that there is no evidence of a global acceleration in sea level rise. That is the surprising conclusion of the paper A Global Perspective on Local Sea Level Changes, published this week in the Journal of Marine Science and Engineering. It is a unique study by two Dutch researchers, Hessel Voortman and Rob de Vos.

The paper also shows that IPCC models significantly overestimate local sea level rise in 2020. This new publication is a follow-up to an earlier paper from 2023 in which first author Hessel Voortman demonstrated that sea level rise along the Dutch coast was not accelerating.

CONSERVATIVES NOW MOVING AWAY FROM NET ZERO

For decades there has been a unified policy on climate around the net zero idea, but since the general election and the rise in the polls of Reform, that unity has started to crumble, with the Conservatives now realising that there are a lot of unpopular measures coming along which the public will be opposed to. At the moment Reform are mopping up the climate sceptic vote. The Conservatives (Tories) are now hoping to gather up these voters,
