ELECTRIC VEHICLE MAKER LOSING HUGE SUMS

You might think that electric vehicles would be a good investment with all the political pressure for doing away with petrol and diesel vehicles, and yet we see that the manufacturers are losing large sums, as the bulk of the public are not buying them. Governments can interfere in the market, but it can have unintended consequences.

Ford lost $1.3 billion in a quarter, a loss of $132,000 on every EV sold « JoNova (joannenova.com.au)

  1. Ford willingly joined the EV manufacturing game knowing full well they lose money in the beginning. Tesla was about 30 days from bankruptcy when hitting the Model 3 targets. Ford is counting on profits down the road as they manufacture more EVs.
