STATISTICS OF ARCTIC ICE ALTERED WITHOUT EXPLANATION
Christopher Booker tells the story in his Sunday Telegraph column here.
Derek, Nansen's site put up this message a day or so after Watt's article: "On 13th December the ice area and extent were recalculated and new curves plotted for 01.09.2008-12.12.2008 due to error in new version of software."
In looking at the current graphics; however, it appears to me that they have created another error. Has the ice accumulation actually stopped?
For those who may not have the Nansen URL handy, it is: http://arctic-roos.org/observations/satellite-data/sea-ice/ice-area-and-extent-in-arctic
