DEVELOPING NATIONS MUST HAVE TARGETS TOO

The USA and Japan have said that any new emissions treaty must include developing nations too. See this report. Agreement looks highly unlikely, making the UK's unilateral action the most futile and expensive gesture in history.

  1. The UK's action is primarily a revenue-raising exercise. Unfortunately people here are swallowing this green gobbledegook hook, line and sinker. We are going to look like idiots in 2020 when we miss these targets by a mile - poor idiots too thanks to the massive tax hikes promised.

  2. I think it's the government that has swallowed it more than the public, who remain remarkably sceptical - they will be even more so if the predicted warming fails to appear.
