UK BUSINESS FACES A LOSE-LOSE SITUATION
UK Companies that fail to register their energy use by next month will be hit with fines that could reach £45,000 under the little-known rules of the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC). Those that do participate in the initiative by declaring their energy use will face charges for every ton of greenhouse gas they produce. While Germany and France are doing very well these costs on business should bring our fragile recovery to a grinding halt.
