UK ELECTRICITY PRICES TO RISE BY £500 A YEAR

Announcements today by Chris Huhne, the UK climate change minister, will add £500 a year to the average electricity bill according to this Telegraph article. This is definitely on the cards, but because it will take a few years to happen the government are hoping that people will not notice.

  1. That's what you get when the public wants the government to erect wind turbines and solar panals. The public wanted them so now they get to pay for them. Welcome to the real world folks. Lol!

  2. Are you sure the public wanted them? A noisy minority perhaps, but the large majority have no idea. In any case all three major parties have the same policy, so the public really had no choice anyway.
