SO THE NEPAL EARTHQUAKE WAS CAUSED BY CLIMATE CHANGE

That is the proposition put forward in this article.  The biggest argument against this proposition is that we have not had any global warming for the past 18 years and no significant climate change over the majority of the planet; therefore this could not have been the cause of the Nepal earthquake. Also even if slight changes of climate were to cause earthquakes it is simply not possible to prevent the climate changes that occur naturally, and have done so since the Earth was formed.
