This piece summarises what is happening. As a simple introduction, there are two different data sets of the temperature of the troposphere. One is produced by Remote Sensing Systems (RSS), and the other is produced by the University of Alabama Huntsville (UAH). Both data sets have been updated at various times to improve their results.
