Despite all the fears that Obama would bring in all the extreme meaaures that the environmental lobby wanted, the early signs are looking a lot better for the fossil fuel industry. In this article in the Wall Street Journal it appears that Obama wants to keep the coal industry central to his energy policy. Yet another case of reality overcoming the pre-election rhetoric. The responsibility of office means he has to take a realistic approach, and keeping the wheels of industry turning is about as realistic as it gets. See this article
