US GOVERNMENT VOTES NOT TO FUND THE IPCC

Here's the story via an alarmist blog. You can see from their anger that this is hurting them. My fear is that the UK might be daft enough to make up the shortfall. Either that or the EU, who in turn will send the begging bowl round to us anyway. If the USA are not playing the game then we might as well all pack up now since none of the objectives in terms of CO2 reductions can be met. All we will be doing is posturing, convincing ourselves how virtuous we are, while levels of CO2 just go on rising. How pathetic is that?
