BURNING TREES TO SAVE EMISSIONS - WILL IT WORK?

This BBC article looks at the issue. The conclusion seem to be that it is far from clear that emissions will actually be saved, so complex is the issue. It seems to be a case of the government meeting a target for renewables rather than thinking it through.
