This article looks at the decision of the Dutch government to phase out gas from 2018. This is an amazing decision considering the enormous cost, much of which will be born by the people. I wonder how long they will support this when they actually see the huge personal cost of it.
In fact this policy is already back-firing and when we consider the yellow vest protests in France, it is becoming clear that the public will not stand for their energy costs being driven up and up just to make political leaders feel good strutting on the international stage.
