CLIMATE SCIENCE BUILT ON FOUNDATIONS OF SHIFTING SAND

 We all know that the internet contains a lot of outdated material, but what most of us are probably unaware of is that much of the data that is being used to predict the future dangers from global warming is coming from similarly out of date sources. Apparently it is such a big problem that no one is ready to tackle it, or even admit it exists. The linked article below explains the details;

  1. The outdated material is all the disinformation spread over the internet far and wide to confuse people. And it works. A lie gets half way around the world before the truth gets its pants on. The projection I chose for this is the one by Exxon itself. They got it. The earth will warm with increasing co2 in the atmosphere. Compare this to the denier point of view. Way way low projections by scientists who know they are lying. Money does sway some scientists to cross the ethical line of writing a story to match the FF interest of continued business. AGW truth is bad for the business model.

    In general, the temperature projections by mainstream climate scientists have been similar to those made by Exxon scientists in 1982, predicting between 0.4°C and 1°C (0.7–1.8°F) warming from 1980 to 2018 as compared to the observed 0.5°C (0.9°F). The contrarians, on the other hand, predicted anywhere from 0.3°C (0.55°F) cooling to a minimal 0.07°C (0.13°F) warming during that period.

    The accuracy of Exxon’s 1982 prediction – and in fact its overestimation of the subsequent warming – yet again illustrate that the company knew about the dangers its product posed to public health via climate change. The accuracy of mainstream climate scientists’ predictions – especially in comparison to the failed predictions made by climate contrarians – suggests that we ought to start heeding the warnings of the former group and ignoring the climate denial advanced by the latter using funding from culpable donors like Exxon.

  2. But the IPCC has lowered its projection of warming from a doubling of CO2 and all the computer projections are way too high. If you read the article you will see how the new studies are showing much less warming is happening than was predicted 20 or 30 years ago.

    The above is from NASA
    Below is from the EXXON MOBILE climate team. This climate team is right on target, while the denier team was way low. It depends upon what it is you want to see. The take away is we are warming and there will be damage to our living system on earth. Reality instead of panic about people who were inaccurate about projections. The seriously inaccurate projections are the purposely driven"climate change isn't bad crowd".
