UK COMPANIES CALL FOR ACTION ON CO2

This BBC story explains that a number of leading company bosses have written to the political parties to urge them to continue with the policies of replacing fossil fuel with renewables. It is strange that companies like Shell and British Airports would call for policies which appear to be against their business interests, but I suspect it is more a case of appearing to be "green" as good PR - more about image than substance. So dominant is the theory of man-made global warming that it has become automatic for business to publicly support CO2 reduction. It is rare indeed for any business to do the opposite. It is in this way that the idea of "consensus" is claimed and regardless of the science our politicians will continue to pay lip-service to it.
