IS UK GOVERNMENT GOING COLD ON SHALE GAS?

This article in the Independent suggests that the UK shale gas reserves are not as extensive as first thought and the cheap gas boost hoped for may not emerge. This seems a bit strange as it contrasts sharply with the original press reports of massive reserves. I understand this report emerged from a seminar given to the Prime Minister and others to which Cuadrilla, the firm doing the actual drilling was not invited. How odd!
