UK SHALE GAS ESTIMATES HIGHER THAN THOUGHT

This article explains that a British Geological Survey (BGS) report due to come out later in the year will give a much higher figure for the reserves of shale gas in the UK. This again begs the question of why a recent government briefing did not invite the BGS to give their expert opinion. Surely it could not be that the government is looking for an excuse not to exploit the UK reserves of a cheap and reliable source of energy?
