MERKEL SACKS CLIMATE MINISTER

This article explains why he had to go. He had the impossible task of de-carbonising the German energy sector while de-commissioning all the nuclear power stations and keeping prices affordable.

  1. no, he ran a bad election campain in Nordrheinwestfalen, lost in a landslide and stepped down from this post. Merkel needed to act because he lost a lot of credibility.

He was not the climate minister, but the minister for the environment.

Blogs are really great, because you can just make stuff up or copy and paste made up stuff

    Regards

  2. Did he "step Down" as you say, or did "Merkel need to act"? You have me confused. Was he responsible for closing the nuclear power or not?
