GERMANS PAYING DEARLY TO BALANCE THE GRID

This article looks at the German electricity grid and how the increase in intermittent renewables has caused increased problems in balancing the grid, preventing power cuts. Just as in the UK they have to pay a high price for the extra electricity required at a few seconds notice to come on-stream.
