UK GOVERNMENT SOLAR PROJECT CANCELLED

This article in the Telegraph explains that plans to put solar panels on public buildings has been cancelled due to the government having reduced the subsidy paid to such projects. In other words the government cannot afford to subsidise itself! Quite right! In any case it's not the government that is paying - it's us!

  2. The Californian desert is probably a better location for solar energy, though even that project is probably going to need subsidising.
