Less particulate pollution in the atmosphere, such as soot and sulphur leads to a reduction in cloud formation and hence sunnier weather that obviously warms things up a bit more. This is something that scientists have suspected for some time, but now, thanks to research including the Met Office this has been proven to be so. Despite this, there seems to be a reluctance to publicise this. Some may think this is because it means that CO2 does not play such a big part in the warming, so we can ease up on the net zero policy.
