BA CHIEF PROPOSES WORLD WIDE FLIGHT TAX

British Airways Chief Executive, Willie Walsh, has proposed a carbon tax on all flights world wide. This is a very noble gesture on his part, with the passengers picking up the unquantified bill. On the other hand he could be accused of gesture politics, as it seems unlikely that any world wide agreement is going to be reached. Typical of so many of our company chiefs today, trying to appear "green", while hoping it won't happen. The trouble with this policy is that it enhances the whole global warming nonsense ever further making it more difficult to make the alternative case that global warming is nothing to do with CO2.
