It was always clear to me that reaching net zero was bound to involve a lot of unpleasant restrictions and reduced freedom of choice. Until now the UK government has tried to pretend that this was not so. They keep focusing on the so-called benefits of "good jobs" and "cheap energy". Now we are starting to see the first signs of reality. As these are rolled out we will see how keen the people are to bite the bullet. Notice how the elite with their private jets are exempt! I am sure that will go down well.
